Magnums are the preferred type of needle for most shading and filling work. The cartridges have a high ink flow rate due to their design, making them ideal for filling large areas and shading large areas of skin. With Magnum cartridges, fewer passes over an area are required to penetrate the paint, which means less stress on the skins. This results in faster healing of the tattoo and a better end result.

The curve of the needles of this cartridge creates what is called a veil when shading, that is, a more intense color in the center and a shadow cast on the outside. Ideal for creating smooth, tonal transitions, fade effects, etc. They are perfect for filling blacks or colors, softer shadows (less traumatic for the skin), such as in portraits, realism or blurred backgrounds.
