Discovering Fred Dubois

Having started tattooing almost 7 years ago, Fred opened his own studio the very first year. It was quite risky for a beginner, but he didn't want to miss the chance of a lifetime to be able to make a living from his passion while also being his own boss.

Of all the tattoo styles, Fred's favorite is black and gray (realistic). Although he has completed several color projects in the past, Fred wants to focus his career solely on black and gray, which will allow him to perfect his style over time. Whether it's a large piece or a tiny custom tattoo, he takes the time to fully satisfy his clients' requests.

Fred is a very friendly young man with a contagious smile. He is full of ambition and his goal is to surpass himself and improve his learning day after day. Becoming better every day is an excellent source of motivation, especially in these abnormally difficult times. Fred would very much like to collaborate with other tattoo artists in the coming years. This would help him progress further and give him new experiences.

Since his beginnings are still not too far behind him, Fred hasn't had the chance to participate in many tattoo events as an artist. He was able to participate in the Trois-Rivières convention a few years ago. Unfortunately, COVID-19 put a stop to all the tattoo conventions that could take place in a year. It's only a postponement, because participating in this kind of event allows them to acquire more knowledge and also allows them to meet great people.

According to him, his greatest strengths are versatility, speed, and the quality of the final result. Although Fred has many qualities and strengths, there is always room for improvement and new knowledge.

We all have sources of inspiration or idols within us as humans. Fred greatly admires the work of Anrijs Straume. Simply because, according to him, his style is magical! He undoubtedly inspires his own black and gray work from the latter, and the result is superb.

A little advice from Fred for those who dream of working in the world of tattooing: never give up, believe in silk and above all, try to surpass yourself every day!!
